Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2 June 2026
This policy explains how the Fearless in Devotion podcast collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit fidpodcast.com, and the cookies the site uses. It is written to meet our obligations under the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
Who we are
Fearless in Devotion is a Wrexham AFC podcast. The joint data controllers are the show's hosts collectively — Tim Edwards, Andy Gilpin, Liam Randall and Rhys Williams. You can contact us about this policy or your data at fidzine@gmail.com.
What data we collect
- Analytics data — if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about your visit (pages viewed, approximate location from a truncated IP, device/browser type, and how you reached the site). We use this only in aggregate to understand what content is popular. We do not use it to identify you personally.
- Information you send us — if you email fidzine@gmail.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include.
The site has no sign-up, login, or payment forms. Newsletter sign-ups, donations, and event tickets are handled on third-party sites (Substack, Buy Me a Coffee, and the venue's ticketing) under their own policies.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site sets no non-essential cookies until you opt in via the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link (also in the footer).
| Cookie / technology | Set by | Purpose | Duration |

Legal bases
- Consent — for analytics cookies and the YouTube subscribe widget. You can withdraw consent at any time via Cookie settings.
- Legitimate interests — for responding to emails you send us and keeping the site secure and working.
Third parties we use
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland/LLC) — website analytics.
- YouTube (Google) — embedded episode players and the subscribe button.
- Netlify — hosts the website and processes basic server logs.
- Substack — our newsletter; some post images load from Substack's CDN.
International transfers
Some of these providers (e.g. Google, Netlify, Substack) are based in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
Google Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months and then automatically deleted. Emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with your message.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email fidzine@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
