Privacy & Cookie Policy

This policy explains how personal data is collected, used and protected when you visit fidpodcast.com and when you play the Fearless Forecasts prediction league, and the cookies the site uses. It is written to meet our obligations under the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
Who we are
Fearless in Devotion is a Wrexham AFC podcast. The website and the Fearless Forecasts prediction league are built and operated by Brewer Consulting Group LLC, a company registered in the United States.
Brewer Consulting Group LLC is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. That means it decides what is collected, why, how long it is kept, and who processes it. The show's hosts do not hold, access or administer the prediction league's data.
You can contact us about this policy or your data at privacy@footballscoreline.com. If you play the prediction league you can also use predictions@fidpodcast.com, which reaches the same team.
What data we collect
- Analytics data (cookies) - if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about your visit (pages viewed, approximate location from a truncated IP, device/browser type, and how you reached the site). We use this only in aggregate to understand what content is popular. We do not use it to identify you personally.
- Aggregate traffic measurement (no cookies) - we also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and works out the approximate country a visit came from. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, so it runs for all visitors. It is privacy-first: the data is aggregate only, is not used to identify or track you, and is not shared for advertising.
- Information you send us - if you email us at the addresses above, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. Direct messages to the show's X account @Fearlessidzine go to the podcast, not to us, and are handled under X's own terms.
- Prediction league account data - if you sign up to play the Fearless Forecasts prediction league, we collect your email address (used to sign you in with a one-time "magic link", and - only if you opt in - to email you reminders to make your picks), a display name you choose (shown on the leaderboard), and the match predictions you submit. We do not collect or store any password. You can turn reminders off, or delete your account and all its data, at any time from your account page.
Aside from the prediction league sign-in above, the site has no payment forms. Newsletter sign-ups, donations, and event tickets are handled on third-party sites (Substack, Buy Me a Coffee, and the venue's ticketing) under their own policies.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site sets no non-essential cookies until you opt in via the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link (also in the footer). Our Cloudflare Web Analytics traffic measurement is cookieless - it is not listed below because it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.

Legal bases
- Consent - for analytics cookies and the YouTube subscribe widget. You can withdraw consent at any time via Cookie settings.
- Legitimate interests - for cookieless, aggregate traffic measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics), for responding to emails you send us, and for keeping the site secure and working. You can object to the analytics processing at any time by emailing us.
- Consent / performance of a service you asked for - for running your prediction league account (storing your display name and picks and showing you on the leaderboard), and for sending pick-reminder emails, which are strictly opt-in. You can withdraw either at any time by turning off reminders or deleting your account from your account page, or via the one-click unsubscribe link in any reminder email.
Third parties we use
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland/LLC) - website analytics.
- YouTube (Google) - embedded episode players and the subscribe button.
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.) - cookieless, privacy-first website traffic analytics.
- Netlify - hosts the website and processes basic server logs.
- Substack - the show's newsletter; some post images load from Substack's CDN.
- Supabase (Supabase, Inc.) - provides the sign-in (magic link) and the database that stores prediction-league accounts and picks.
- Resend (Resend, Inc.) - delivers the opt-in pick-reminder emails.
International transfers
Brewer Consulting Group LLC is based in the United States, so personal data covered by this policy is controlled from, and stored in, the United States. Several of the providers listed above (Google, Netlify, Substack, Supabase, Resend) are also US-based. Where data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
Google Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months and then automatically deleted. Emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with your message. Prediction-league account data (your email, display name and picks) is kept for as long as your account exists; when you delete your account it is removed, and the underlying sign-in record is deleted with it.
Age
A prediction-league account is for people aged 16 or over. We say so on the sign-in screen, and by signing in you confirm you are 16 or older. The rest of the site - the podcast, the results and the leaderboard - is open to anyone.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe someone under 16 has an account, email us at predictions@fidpodcast.com or privacy@footballscoreline.com and we will delete it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. If you have a prediction-league account you can correct your display name, turn reminders on or off, and permanently delete your account and all its data yourself from your account page. For anything else, or if you don't have an account, email privacy@footballscoreline.com. We will respond within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
